The Process

This page is to show clearly what I do and what to expect meeting with a financial professional

When you sign up to meet with a financial professional,  the goal is to give you direction and confidence on your financial path. Let's say you concerned enough about your retirement or lack thereof and sign up for a financial planning session. So what happens during the meeting and what does this consulation looks like?

When you sign up you will receive an email with a zoom link with the date and time selected. You will then receive a second email with a list of statements you need to bring or have handy to talk about.

We then meet at our designated time and we talk finance. We start off creating a current personal balance sheet where it shows you current net worth. Then we create a revenue and expense sheet showing what your cash flows are. This gives us an idea of what your current situation is and allows us to examine where changes are needed. We then do future value analysis to see how much money you  will have in retirement and how long your money will last you.

We then use certain tools to manage debt or examine tax effects to help in those areas.

I then provide my reccomendations on how to save for retirement including how much money to put away and how to grow your retirement. I go over the types of retirement vehicles that makes the most sense. I talk about how to pay off debts and talk about how to save on income taxes. I provide a list of these recommendations.

Then we create a balance sheet and revenue and expense sheet based on the recommendations. This will include the future values based on the recommendations and how long your savings will last you. This way you can see the difference between your current situations and the effects of my  recommendations.

We conclude the meeting with a summary pdf of our discussion so you have documentation and have a list of call to action duties. Now you have a better understanding and knowledge of how to save for retirement and  you have specific actions to take to guide you on your financial journey to retirement.

The benefits of having these meetings are:

1. You talk to a professional who has worked with hundreds of individuals who can provide sound advice

2. You get a better understanding of finance

3. You obtain a plan with solid and direct action steps

4. You get peace of mind about your future

5. Allowing me to help you create a retirement plan lowers stress and gives you time to focus on more important matters
